Blown-in insulation blows dry fiberglass insulation into the walls and ceilings and is convenient because it creates a custom filling around wires and fixtures leaving no air gaps in the walls. Once the fibers are in place, they adhere together and pack into a dense insulation.
We also don'tuse “Builder Grade 14 SEER” HVAC systems. In all our homes we install state-of-the-art, high-performance HVAC systems up to 20 SEER, with variable speed blowers. So you're still getting the most efficient units available, that keep the temperature constant, instead of always trying to keep up, like traditional Heat Pumps. But why a heat pump? Well, heat pumps are unique in that they're designed to both cool and heat your home. But they're limited when the temperature gets below about thirty-four degrees. The heat pump can't meet your heating needs so it switches over to supplemental electric heat which is very expensive to operate. Our hybrid system bypasses that electric heat source and switches over directly to the gas furnace on the coldest days of the year.
